Police Narrative:
On 02/09/07 at 21:47 hours, officer(s) Myers () and Clarke () responded to a Officer initiated at Crump/mississippi and the Reporting Officer advised while on routine patrol ofcs observed def driving stated vehicle s/b danny thomas and cross several lanes of traffic to go e/b crump almost causing an accident with n/b traffic. Ofcs initiated a traffic stop at mississippi/crump. Def struggled with putting the vehicle in park. Def left the vehicle in reverse and let off the brake and almost struck the ofcs squad car. Ofcs bumped the siren to get defs attention and def finally stopped and put the vehicle in park. When ofcs approached defs vehicle ofcs could smell a strong odor of intoxicant on def. Def had bloodshot watery eyes and was unstable on his feet. Def stated to ofcs that he was intoxicated. Ofcs called for a d. U. I. Unit and w-32, ofc banks, ibm# 0746 made scene and administered a field sobriety test in which def performed on all tests. W-32 administered a bac test in which the defs bac was . 172. Def was arrested and transported to 201 poplar. This is defs second d. U. I. Defs last d. U. I was 10/2006. Dui tape was tagged at 201 poplar p&e room.
