Police Narrative:
On 02/09/07 at 22:25 hours, officer(s) Bush, M () and M. McCord (5623) responded to a Counterfeiting/Forgery at Dunn//Getwell and the Reporting Officer advised On 02/09/2007 Strike Team Ofcs were working a saturation in the area of Getwell//Dunn. Where McCord (5623) observed a teal Ford Mustang (VIN 1falp4043sf225442) traveling S/B Getwell whose driver, witness, wasnt wearing his seatbelt. As McCord (5623) got behind the vehicle he observed it make a right turn to go W/B Dunn without using a turn signal. Ofcs initiated a traffic stop. As Ofcs approached the vehicle they observed that the TN temp tag (R861560) had whiteout on the issue date, changing it from Dec. to Jan., and the 01 to a 02. While talking with witness he advlsed Ofcs that it was his girlfriends, victimWebber, car and that she was a couple houses down the street. McCord (5623) sent Bush () to 3743 Dunn to ask victimWebber to come to the scene, which she did voluntarily. Once on the scene Ofcs asked victimWebber about the tag, filling out a rights waiver form. victimWebber advlsed Bush () that she got the tag from "some guy" her boyfriend, witness, knows for $30.00. She further advised that the M/B came to her house to deliver the tag. victimWebber was arrested and transported to Jail-East, the vehicle was towed to the lot and witness was issued a long ticket (W866595)This Offense took place in Memphis, Shelby County Tennessee. The temp tag and rights waiver were tagged at the P&E Room 201 Poplar by B Gray ().
