Police Narrative:

On 02/09/07 at 21:35 hours, officer(s) Obrien () and Harris () responded to a Weapon Law Violations/Midemeanor at Craft/Orleans and the Reporting Officer advised That officers responded to an armed party call at 663 Delrose where the comp (Kelly Barnes) advised she was involved with her boyfrien, victimRice and he was armed with a pistol. A/O made the scene on Delrose and was advised by the comp's brother that both parties just left the scene. A/O then had dispatchtry to contact the comp and was unsuccessful. A/O then observed the def walking N/B Orleans near the area and asked him his name. The suspect gave the name of suspect which was the name of the suspect of the armed party. A/O observed the suspect to be crying. A/O asked what was going on and he stated that he was involved with his girlfriend and he just left the scene. The suspect then asked if A/O could give him a ride back to Delrose and that’s when A/O asked if he had a pistol. At that point the suspect stated "No". A/O did a pat down for officer safety at which time A/O located a black revolver in the front right pocket of jacket. The pistol was a Iver Johnsons Arms and Cycle works .38 caliber and the handgun had 5 live rounds in the cylinder. The gun and rounds were tagged at 201 Poplar P/E room. The suspect completed and signed a rights wavier form which was also tagged at 201 Poplar P/E room. After the rights waiver form was signed by the suspect A/Os checked the suspect again and located (1) piece of folded paper containing a green leafy substance which appeared to be marijuana and then located another large bag of the same substance in the suspect's front left jacket pocket. All the drugs tested positive and was tagged at 201 Poplar P/E room. The TGW was 29.2g. The suspect also advised that he was arrested for aggravated assault when he was 16 yoa. Lt Newsom made the scene and advised. The suspect was transported to 201 Poplar.
