Police Narrative:
On February 08, 2007 at 1902 hours, Officer(s) CROOM, JOSHUA S EMP# / BOGAN, MARK A EMP# 1959 responded to Simple Assault at 6006 Cedarcrest CV and victim, complainant, advised that at approximately 1845 hours on 2/8/07 he and his wife witness (witness) were on their way home, when they stopped at the red light at Ridgeway and Raines. Witness was driving the couple's white Ford Explorer and was stopped southbound on Ridgeway and Raines waiting to turn westbound on Raines. A black Nissan Pathfinder driven by suspect, suspect, pulled up beside victim's vehicle at the red light and began verbally abusing both victim and witness and threatened to physically harm both. Suspect then threw items (unknown) at victim's car and then sped off. Witness followed suspect down Raines and through a neighborhood in an attempt to confront the suspect. The car chase ended in front of 6006 Cedarcrest Cove. Victim exited his vehicle and approached suspect. Suspect then pulled forward, next to victim and punched victim in the right side of his head. Suspect then drove off. Victim suffered none apparent injures and no medical attention was needed.
