On 02/08/07 at 22:28 hours, officer(s) Gray () responded to a Counterfeiting/Forgery at Hodge/shelby and the Reporting Officer advised a/os were at the fast mart located at hodge /shelby dr when they observed Veh #1: OLDS AUR /97 olds aurora white vin#1g3gr62c0v4123389 pull onto the lot. Sus: Bell brenda was the driver. Sus: Green was front passenger . The windows to the vehicle were not tinted and the lot had more than adequate artificial light. The vehicle had a counterfeit tn temporary tag in the rear window. The tag was lighter green than normal , issue blocks were not punched, border was smaller than normal and unevenly cut, veh information written in pencil, 2421 elvis presley blvd, world advantage dealer I. D. #4069-1, and r#. Sus: Bell brenda advised the Veh #1: OLDS AUR was her sons veh one brandon bell. A/o gray talked with brandon bell who advised the veh was his. A/os picked brandon bell up at 180 leaning tree lane. Upon arrival to scene brandon bell advised he was buying the vehicle from his pasture l. T. Frye/ Sus: Frye and that Sus: Frye sold cars on elvis presley. Veh #1: OLDS AUR made scene in Veh #2: ADI DEVILLE / 1999 black cadillac deville vin# 1g6kd54y8xu766669 bearing a stolen ms tag#701 dde. A/o lt. Mccord explained the situation to Sus: Frye who advised that the tag was in the Veh #1: OLDS AUR when he bought it but he filled out the tag when he sold it to brandon bell. Sus: Frye then handed the title to the Veh #1: OLDS AUR to a/o lt. Mccord . Sus: Frye then advised he has been in the car sales business for 4 years. Sus: Frye advised that he sold the Veh #1: OLDS AUR to brandon bell 3 weeks ago. Brandon bell confirmed that he had already paid Sus: Frye $2000 for the Veh #1: OLDS AUR. Sus: Frye refused the rights waiver. Brandon bell completed the rights waiver. The stolen ms tag was seized. Veh #1: OLDS AUR was released to brenda bell. Veh #2: ADI DEVILLE was towed to the city's lot. Sus: Frye did not have proof of insurance. The title to Veh #1: OLDS AUR, both rights waivers, stolen ms tag, and tn temporary tag were tagged at 201 poplar pe. Brenda bell and Sus: Green were released without charge.
