Police Narrative:

On 02/08/07 at 21:49 hours, officer(s) Morris (1866) responded to a Drugs/Narcotics Violation/Felony at 4289 American Way and Compl: Morris advised While on routine patrol in the area of Cottonwood and Goodlett officer Morris observed a 95 Lexus SC400 traveling N/B Goodlett. It was about 2130 hrs, well after dark, and the vehicle had no headlights on. Officer Morris stopped the vehicle along with officers Kay , Jordan , and Walcott . Sus: Nicholson was the driver of the vehicle. Corbet Mims dob 8/13/82 TNDL SSN was in the rear passenger seat and Jillian Thomas dob 6/4/91 SSN was in the front passenger seat. Sus: Nicholson provided a Drivers license but appeared very nervous and kept reaching between his legs in the seat. Officer Morris asked Sus: Nicholson to step out of the vehicle for officer safety. Sus: Nicholson refused and started saying "My dads a lieutenant." Officer Morris opened the door and Sus: Nicholson grabbed it with his left hand trying to close and reached for the gear shift with his right hand as if he was about to drive off. Officer Morris and Jordan had to use force to pull him from the vehicle and take him to the ground. Once under control officers patted him down and a baggy with white rocks, believed to be crack, and another with white powder, believed to be powder cocaine fell from his right pants leg. Sus: Nicholson was placed under arrest and he told officers "Look I just got a gun in the car." Officer Jordan found a Taurus .32 cal handgun under the drivers floormat. Sus: Nicholson license showed to be suspended. Sus: Nicholson had $559 dollars (counted by Officer Kay and Walcott) in various denominations in his left front pocket. Officer Bronstein and Yancey and Morris 1866 completed a rights waiver form and Sus: Nicholson waived his rights. Lt Bullock 304D made the scene. The rocklike substance tested positive for cocaine weighing 1.6 grms tgw and the powder tested positive for cocaine weighing 5 grms tgw. The crack, powder, handgun, rights waiver form, and $559 cash were tagged at 201 Poplar by officer Jordan. Sus: Nicholson was transported to 201 Poplar and the Lexus was towed to the city lot held for OCU.
