Police Narrative:
On 02/08/07 at 20:42 hours, officer(s) Hubbert () responded to a Shooting at 631 St Paul and Compl: Ayers advised That she was upstairs in her apartment when she heard a commotion outside her apartment window. Compl: Ayers advised she looked out her window and observed that Vic: Milan was surrounded by Sus: Baines, Sus: Young and 2 other male black suspects. Compl: Ayers advised that she could not provide the names of the other 2 suspects. Compl: Ayers advised that she went outside to assist Vic: Milan and when she opened the back door, one of the suspects pointed what appeared to be a black tech-9 at her and told her to go back inside. Compl: Ayers advised that when she closed the door she heard several gunshots. Compl: Ayers advised that Vic: Milan came inside and he had been shot through the right hand. Vic: Milan advised that he was walking back from the store when he was surrounded by the 4 suspects, 2 of which he named, and they demanded money from him. Vic: Milan advised that he refused to give them anything and then the suspects began firing shots into the air before pointing the gun at him and began firing shots. Vic: Milan advised that he was shot one time in the right hand. Vic: Milan advised that he ran inside and the suspects ran into an unknown apartment. MFD Unit 11 made the scene and transported Vic: Milan to The Med in non-critical condition. Officers on the scene located Sus: Baines in the crowd on the scene, he was named by Compl: Ayers as a suspect. Vic: Milan gave officers a detailed description of the suspect responsible and Sus: Baines matched that description. Officers located approximately 12 shell casings at the scene of the shooting. Crime Scene officer D. Wells, 2324 #1833, made the scene for photos and to tag the shell casings. Lt. Hester, 405D, was advised and made the scene. Wit: Ayers and Sus: Baines were transported to Felony Response for statements. Wit: Brown contacted officers on the scene and advised the she witnessed the shooting and she could identify the subjects responsible.
