Police Narrative:
The detectives were checking a drug complaint at 351 Laclede and when exiting the car the defendant was standing in the yard. As the detectives approached the defendant walked from door #1 to door #3 twice. Detective Taylor then spoke with the defendant to conduct a field interview. Detective Taylor patted the defendant's pockets for protection and felt in the right front pant pocket what felt it to be a crack pipe. Detective Taylor had the defendant remove the object and it proved to be a glass crack pipe. The defendant was issued this citation in lieu of a physical arrest.
