Police Narrative:
On Saturday, February 3,2007 at 1830 hours members of the MPD OCU drug response team 7 responded to a mainline complaint at 618 Eva where individuals had taken one Michael Lewis' home. Detective Potts and detective James conducted a still watch surveillance on the house to observe the drug activity. Detective Potts and detective James then conducted a knock and talk on the house and encountered Michael Lewis in the driveway who was working on a truck. Michael Lewis signed a consent to search form and gave detective Potts and detective James permission to search his house for drugs. Michael Lewis escorted detective James and detective Potts to the kitchen where they encountered defendant Farmer and several other people. Detective James and detective Potts observed in plain view crack cocaine that weighed 120.8 tgw. Also, on the kitchen counter was a small bag of marijuana that weighed tgw. There was a portable digital scale on the kitchen counter too. When detective James and detective Potts also gave a written statement where he gave a descriptive account of the drugs and money that he had on his person. In defendant Farmer's statement he admitted ownership of the drugs. Detective Jordan seized a total of $1076.00 dollars from him. The crack cocaine tested positive at the MPD Property and Evidence room. Defendant Lindsey was arrested and transported to 201 Poplar. Co-defendant Kelvious Lindsey was charged with PCS w/i M/D/S to wit: crack cocaine. Co-defendant Eva Martin was charged with PCS W/I M/D/S to wit: marijuana. Co-defendant James Eubank was charged with PCS W/I M/D/S to wit: crack cocaine on separate arrest tickets.
