Police Narrative:
On 02/01/07 at 14:53 hours, officer(s) M. howard (1897) responded to a Shoplifting/Felony at 2840 N Germantown and victimHines advised that she works loss prevention at the macys store located at 2810 N. Germantown pkwy. Compl. Advised that susp. #1 and susp. #2 , both of whom are married came into the store with a 15 month old child. Both Susps. Then went around to the different depts. Picking up a total of 71 items of clothing valued at $ 1, 571. 95. The susps. Placed the items in several plastic shopping bags which they had with them and went past all points of sale and exited the store. This was captured on store security camaras. Both susps. Were then arrested by store security and Police called. All the clothing, which consisted of womans shirts, pants and underware were returned to the store. 805C LT. Simms made the scene . Officer Howard contacted station B which contacted DHS. The child was taken into protective along with two others ages 8 and 12. DHS made the scene to transport. Officer Howard talked to Ms. Williams at DHS. Both susps. Were transported to jail east and 201 poplar.
