Police Narrative:
On 02/01/07 at 14:01 hours, officer(s) Mize (5675) responded to a Burglary/Residential at 1640 Walter and victimCarpenter advised She received a call from MPD stating her house was broken into. P/Os Mize and Stroud received a prowler in progress call to 1640 Walter. When P/O Mize walked to the back gate she observed two m/w juveniles exit the rear window of the house. The rear window was broken out. The first m/w wearing a black jacket and yellow shirt, dark pants, jumped over the rear wood fence. He was taken into custod by P/O Stroud, Morrow, and K18, Wright took the suspect into custody at 4304 Leroy at 1340 hrs. The first suspect uttered they broke-in to get money. The second and third suspects weren't apprehended at the time. No items were taken. Crime Response Officer A Mitchell, Car# 2324, IBM#5617 made the scene for photos and tagged the second suspect s white tennis shoe. The first suspect had a clear plastic baggie that contained a green leafy substance (tested positive for marijuana and weighed grams).The marijuana was tagged in the P & E Room. He was transported to Juv. Court. The victim refused to prosecute. Lt. Dye, 506B made the scene and contacted Lt. Hampton in Burglary. The victim's landlord is suspect #2's mother(who owns the house the victim is renting). The victim signed a refusal to prosecute form.
