Police Narrative:
On 10/18/06 at 16:34 hours, officer(s) Burdett () responded to a Simple Assault at 750 East Parkway south and victim advised he arrived at Fairview Middle school to pick up his son and saw his son and the suspect involved in a fight with the suspects on top of his son and he observed suspect strike his son with his fist. The complainant broke up the fight. Officer observed blood coming from the victims nose and blood on his shirt. The victims watch was also broken. The victims father (complainant) informed officer of what happened and then took the victim to the hospital. He did not want an ambulance. Officer located Supect Mathew in the gym and detained him. When his mother Lori Ferguson arrived I asked her to go home and get her son Michael. Mrs. Ferguson left and came back without Michael and stated that he was not home. Mathew was given a juvenile summons and told tol report to the principle in the morning. I requested that Mrs. Ferguson contact the PD when Michael got home so that he could be served with a juvenile summons as well.
